Sean Davey is an internationally respected documentary photographer, facilitator, and educator with over two decades of experience in journalism and cultural projects. Sean’s work, often created in collaboration with communities and institutions, documents social, cultural, and political change across Australia and the Pacific. A finalist in the 2024 Walkley Awards, Sean’s photography has received national and international recognition, including World Press Photo, National Portrait Prize, Moran Contemporary Prize. Sean has undertaken significant photography projects in Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, with his photographs collected by major national collections. Sean was previously a lecturer in photojournalism at the University of Melbourne's Centre for Advancing Journalism.
