Katherine Griffiths is an award winning freelance photographer and Artist currently based in Sydney, Australia.
Completing her honours degree in Visual Arts at The Australian National University in 2010, over the last decade she has worked as a photojournalist, established a successful freelance business, and continued to pursue her career in contemporary art photography.
As an artist she has held several residencies, solo exhibitions and contributed to multiple group shows. Katherine has been a finalist in multiple Australian contemporary photography prizes including The National Photographic Portrait Prize, The Moran Prize, HeadOn, Josephine Uldrick and Win Sherbet award and Australian Photography Awards.
Katherine's editorial work is recognised by her ability to capture honest story telling through compelling compositions and emotive lighting. She has been a staff photojournalist with The Canberra Times, a local stringer for Sydney Morning Herald and Getty Images.
